First Freedom Art Company
First Freedom Art Company is a new art company that focuses on educating people about the works of Arnold Friberg and selling prints and products of his work. Arnold Friberg was a prominent American illustrator who is well-known for his paintings of Western and patriotic themes. First Freedom wanted a brand that would reflect Friberg's art and values, while still being modern and accessible to a wide audience.
Logo Design:
We designed the logo to reflect the values of Arnold Friberg's art, which includes patriotism, history, and tradition. The logo mark features a custom typeface created based off of Friberg’s calligraphy and signature. One of it’s main elements is and a stylized eagle which represents freedom and strength. The eagle is designed in a way that is modern and sleek, making it accessible to a younger demographic while still respecting the traditional values of the brand.
Website Design:
The website was created to be clean and simple to navigate, with a focus on showcasing Arnold Friberg's art and a timeline of the artist’s life. The homepage features large images of some of his most famous paintings, and description of his most enduring collections. The color scheme of the website is muted, with the use of blues, greys, and creams to create a timeless and sophisticated feel.
Results:
First Freedom Art Company's new branding has been well-received by customers and art enthusiasts. While at a coffee shop the owner of the company was asked about the meaning behind the business, the owner was ecstatic when she could tell the story based off of the design of the logo.
